Startup Energy Meets Bay Area Light — A San Francisco Headshot Session with MorphoAI

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer in San Francisco is working with fresh, innovative teams that are just starting to shape their story—like the crew at MorphoAI, a forward-thinking AI startup based right here in the Bay.

We recently collaborated on a professional headshot session in the heart of downtown SF, using a modern rooftop space that allowed natural light to do its thing. I lean into a bright, airy aesthetic in my work—tones that feel authentic, warm, and approachable—perfect for capturing both confidence and creativity in startup culture.

What made this shoot really click was the energy. The team was new, like me—new to the city grind, new to building their visual identity—and we instantly connected. I’m all about creating a space where people feel at ease, even if they’re not used to being in front of the camera. Helping them get comfortable, relaxed, and in their element is where the magic happens.

From group shots to individual portraits, we played around with scenes and angles to give each person something that felt like them—not just another corporate photo. I used soft shadows and controlled highlights to give each face that subtle glow, letting natural light guide the tone while keeping things crisp and professional.
